Kids Dental Checkups & Cleanings
Routine checkups and cleanings are just as important for kids as they are for adults! With regular professional examinations, Dr. Sara is able to bring attention to developmental concerns, while routine cleanings help keep cavities at bay. We take our time and are extremely gentle with kids, helping build positive relationships that make them look forward to visiting us! In the end, that makes both parents’ and our jobs of keeping their oral health on track much easier!
Dental Sealants
Dental sealants are a great way to protect your child’s growing smile from cavities. Even if they have a sweet tooth, these protective coverings are able to minimize plaque and tartar accumulation. Plus, the application process is simple, quick, and completely pain-free. All our team does is dry the mouth before applying the sealant liquid to the top surface of the molars. By exposing the sealant liquid to UV light, it will harden and create a protective covering to dramatically reduce the risk of cavities.
Silver Diamine Fluoride Treatment
Silver diamine fluoride (SDF) is a non-invasive cavity treatment technique that we recommend for children, as it can help prevent the need for a filling. The silver diamine acts to arrest the cavity while the fluoride helps safeguard the affected tooth by strengthening the enamel. This helps protect against reoccurring decay in the future.
Athletic Mouthguards/ Sportsguards
If your child participates on a local league or school athletics team, get them the protection they need. A customized athletic mouthguard will help cushion their teeth and jaw, so whether they’re hit by a flyball or another player, you can rest easy knowing that they’re well-protected. Because our mouthguards are customized just for your child, they are more comfortable and effective than the one-size-fits-all options you can find in the store.
