Dr. Sara Katherine-Hogue Fickert

Dr. Sara is the proud owner and sole dentist at Hogue Family Dentistry, carrying on the legacy that her mother, Dr. Natalie Hogue, started over 40 years ago. Her relationship-based style of care is focused on taking the time to get to know her patients to build trust and help empower them to take charge of their oral health. She is dedicated to putting patients first by emphasizing prevention of dental disease, informed patient participation in treatment planning, and whole-person care in a friendly and compassionate atmosphere.

Why Did You Decide to Become a Dentist?

Dr. Sara grew up at this practice since her mom started it over 40 years ago. Inspired by the care, expertise, and empathy her mother provided for each patients, she initially thought that she would go into medicine so she could be “like mom, but not just like mom.”

Her Junior year of college, she was home for the summer working at the practice, and she realized that she loved this office. She loved to work with her hands, build connections, and explore science, so dentistry really was the perfect fit.
